On Saturday, the featured race at Gulfstream Park is the $90,000 Musical Romance Stakes. The seven-furlong contest will be run on the main track and has drawn a field of eleven fillies and mares.
The morning line favorite at odds of 3-1 is Best Behavior who is making her first start since being claimed in August for trainer Martin Wolfson. The four-year-old daughter of Into Mischief has won four of her seven starts this year and has been a popular filly at the claim box. She will have Jonathan Gonzalez aboard as she attempts to earn the first stakes win of her career and will break from post seven.
Kipling's Joy trying to rebound after facing Grade 1 company
Second choice also hails from the Wolfson barn is Kipling’s Joy at morning line odds of 7-2. She will break from the outside under jockey Ramsey Zimmerman and will be trying to earn the fifth win of her career and third of this year. She was last seen tackling the best filly and mare sprinters in the country in the Ballerina (G1) at Saratoga and wound up sixth. Her last win came against optional claiming company at Gulfstream.
Live Vitali barn has a potential longshot
Also in the field is longshot Triple Arch at odds of 20-1 for the Grade 1 winning combination of Marcus Vitali and Orlando Bocachica. An $85,000 purchase as a weanling for Crossed Sabres Farm, the four-year-old daughter of Arch is trying to rebound after finishing ninth in the Violet (G3) at Monmouth last time out on the turf. Her last win came in July and she will break from post two.
