Opening day graded stakes action October 3 at Keeneland kicks in Race 8 with the $200,000 Grade 3 Phoenix and a field of eight sprinting six furlongs on the main track. 
The Grade 1 $400,000 Vosburgh Stakes Saturday, September 27 at Belmont features a field of eight sprinters going six furlongs in what projects to be a very fast race with blazing early fractions. 
On Saturday, the featured race at Gulfstream Park is the $90,000 Musical Romance Stakes. The seven-furlong contest will be run on the main track and has drawn a field of eleven fillies and mares. 
On Sunday at Woodbine, the track will host the 9th edition of the $300,000 Northern Dancer. The Grade 1 event will be run at one and a half miles on the turf and has drawn a field of nine colts and geldings. 
A stellar stakes card Saturday, September 13 at Kentucky Downs includes the $200,000 Kentucky Downs Ladies Sprint for fillies and mares going six and a half furlongs on the track’s signature undulating, European-style turf course. 
On Saturday at Belmont Park, the track will host the inaugural running of the $100,000 Yankee Affair Stakes. The mile and a half contest will be run on the Widener Turf Course and has drawn a field of six colts and geldings. 
With another Saratoga season in the books, New York racing rotates to Belmont and its annual fall meeting which begins September 5 and runs through October 26 with the TVG Super Saturday card scheduled September 27 as the focal point of the 38 racing days. 
The Grade I $500,000 King’s Bishop Stakes at Saratoga has become, perhaps, the most important seven furlong race in the country as it showcases two of the most important ingredients for a potential stallion: class and speed. 
On Saturday at Saratoga, the top three-year-old sprinters in the country will compete in the 30th edition of the Grade 1 King's Bishop Stakes. The seven-furlong contest offers a purse of $500,000 and has drawn a field of eight.
